Sep, 2017: "Cozy, comfortable space to rest your head
I stayed here when I was in town for a high school reunion. I may have to invent another reason to visit as soon as possible! Carla was a warm, hospitable, accommodating host. I immediately felt that I was in the home of a relative or friend. And her dog, Lenny, is very sweet as well. I loved staying in the upstairs suite with the sleeping porch. Plenty of space for me to stretch out, relax and read. The house is beyond beautiful, and Carla's carefully curated collection of antiques made me feel like I had stepped back into time. Breakfast was also wonderful. Absolutely the perfect place to stay!!"
The three story Craftsman residence was built in 1915 by Elav Ericsson and fully restored by the Innkeeper, Carla Sherman in 2010. There are two guest rooms on the second floor and the entire third floor forms another suite.
Guests will enjoy the comfortable sitting areas filled with Carla's eclectic collection of antiques. Whether you're in St. Paul for pleasure or business, to check out the area colleges or have a romantic evening, this charming residence will be your home away from home.
